2 Years

....has just flow by. Casey just had her well check and was 33 inches tall and 25.6 pounds. She got her last shot (Hep A) till she turns 3 with the flu mist exception in the winter. She ranges from 25-50% in head, height and weight. I suspect she is going to be short just like me. She also is still in a size 6 shoe. Toddler shoes start at size 7! So she is still in baby shoes, she is going to have feet like me as well.

She is an excellent communicator, she has begun to ask us all "why" and sometimes i just say "because" now when i ask her something she says "because" and leaves it at that :)

She loves to be around the family, and still loves to be outdoors, I gather that swimming will be lot's of fun this summer. I picture her standing on the edge of the pool and just jumping into our arms as we catch her. She is fearless.

Unless it's dark, and to that she always say "it's dark...oooh...scaaary, but then says it's ok mommy's here, daddy's here"

Ni-Ni is constantly scrapbooking and I look back at old photo's of Casey and it's hard to remember a time when she was so little, and not very mobile.

She loves to run down our driveway, since it's a decline. In fact, Joe and I let her run up and down the street (supervised of course) to wear her out :) She loves to jump jump on just about anything, she loves to read still and now sits quietly from time to time and "reads to herself" Her favorites right now of course are all the 'licious books, pinkalicious, purplicious, and goldilicious, in fact so much so that mommy probably has them all memorized. Cartoons she likes are Maisy, Thomas Train, Wonder Pets, and the Wiggles. She still loves her chocolate, and spaghetti and macaroni and cheese, along with corn dogs.

She is smart as a whip, I have had one conversation with her in the past. Casey guess what? We are going to go to Oklahoma soon, and we will visit Ni-Ni's sister. Her name is Aunt Tina. Now she says it like a pro. We even have been showing her, Tina's pic so hopefully she wont be shy at first. She has a tendency to be shy for a short while to new people.

She expresses herself alot more, she tells us when she is poopy, or tired, or occasionally she knows she has gone too far and says "I'm sorry" it makes my heart melt...

I suppose potty training will be next, along with a big girl bed for Christmas hopefully...
Sometimes the milestones now just give me a sense of sadness now, because I know she will never be that small again.

Oh and on a final note, we have asked her if she wants a baby brother or baby sister. 100% of the time she says "Baby Sister" much to Joe's dismay :)

Casey Turns 2!
