Updates

Casey is almost 18 months old.

She is a very effective communicator. She loves learning new words, and reading. Joe has several applications on his iphone that Casey just loves: they are books to read/flash cards/barnyard animals/colors/shapes etc etc. This is not a joke. She repeated the word alligator plain as day yesterday.

She now calls Kellie "Kiwi" and Na-na is now Ni-Ni

She is becoming more and more combative. She will scream "NO!" if she does not want something taken from her.
She is also so sweet, she is such the nurturer. She puts her baby doll (Baby Kara) and her Baby Pup night night by putting a blanket over them and trying to put a pacifier in their mouth.

When the phone rings she runs to it and says "Pa-Pa" and it usually is Pa-Pa.
Also, Joe and I are going to have to start spelling words in front of her. If someone slips and says "outside" she will run to the backyard and say over and over, outside, outside.

So you better be planning on taking little girl outside :)

We read 3-5 books every night. Her preference right now are any of the ones that something is hiding behind. For example, Where are babie's eyes? Behind her hat, and then she lifts the hat up and there they are. She can re-read these books those a million times. It's getting to the point where it's like OMG hide those books!

Her sleeping is pretty regular if she is not sick. She doesnt like to go to bed early really but doesnt put up too much of a fight usually. Eating is hit or miss with her.

Right now she is cutting 3 molars, and so has been cranky and not sleeping as well.
Typically as long as she has tylenol she is still joyous. She loves to be outside, out and about. She loves animals, and music, the kids at daycare and the family.

Overall, she is great and happy child. I need to update more often. I hate to think of all the little things she does everyday that I am not making a permanent record of on this blog, because work has been so busy for months now. That will be my new years resolution :)
